Graciosa Island has a strong festive dimension expressed in popular dances, philharmonic concerts, local festivals, and the famous Carnival Balls.
The carnival celebrations begin well in advance on the island, with local collectives hosting and organizing dances where revelers dance with masks and original costumes, bringing joy to the island until Shrove Tuesday.

Just like in the rest of the archipelago, the Festivities of the Holy Spirit take place from May to September, with processions and “bodos” distributing bread and wine.
Here, the highlight is the Festivities of the Holy Christ of Miracles, held in the second week of August, which, in addition to the religious aspect, combines local cultural manifestations, street entertainment, and evening shows, making them the main festivities of the island.
